Show your support!

Make your voice heard! Your opinion matters.

Did you know that a portion of our organization's funding comes from Maui County to provide mandatory Animal Management Services to our community? Make a statement in support of Maui Humane Society at your local Maui County Budget Council meeting to let them know that animal welfare matters to our community.

  • April 4 at 6pm:                  Mayor Hannibal Tavares Community Center (Pukalani)
  • April 9 at 6pm:                  Kihei Community Center
  • April 11 at 6pm:                Paia Community Center
  • April 17 at 6pm:                Council Chamber, County Building (Wailuku)

Not sure what to say? Here are a few ideas:

  • If you are a volunteer, pet foster parent or donor, share why you choose to support our organization.

  • Share how Maui Humane Society's programs and services have personally helped you or your community. If you had a great adoption experience, share it!

  • Voice your support for Maui Humane Society's community spay/neuter efforts (Maui Humane Society spayed and neutered 5,658 community animals at no cost to the community in fiscal year 2017)

  • If you have been helped by MHS Humane Enforcement Officers, share your experience.

  • Talk about the many improvements you've seen in the past few years (the expanded vet clinic, beach buddies program, play yards, agility classes, a 100% donor-funded increase in transfers so we can save more lives)

  • Talk about why you think animal welfare should be a priority in our community.

A HUGE MAHALO in advance to those in our wonderful community who have chosen to make a statement in support of the good work we do for Maui's animals.
