How do I sign up for Wags to Riches?
Use this link to sign up and start fundraising through Qgiv.
When do I start fundraising?
Fundraising takes place from April 1st at 6:00 am to April 28th at 12:00 pm.
What is QGiv?
QGiv is a third-party fundraising platform that allows you to easily set up and customize your own donation page as a Wags to Riches participant! You can set a fundraising goal, track your donation progress, and share your Participant Page with friends, family, and coworkers to encourage them to help you reach your donation goal.

When will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced on Friday, April 28th at 12pm HST.
If I win, do I get to choose which resort I can stay at?
The winner (highest fundraiser) will choose which resort they would like to stay at. The remaining winners will have the resort assigned to them.
Will I get to choose which dog I get to bring with me to the resort??
No. MHS will pair you up with a shelter animal based on the requirements of the hotel and one that we believe will be the best fit for you.
How does the dog get to the resort?
You’ve done all the hard work fundraising, so go ahead and check in and take a dip in the pool. You’ll have some time to unwind before we drop the dog off to you around dinner time. We’ll be bringing all the dog supplies for the night then. Similarly, our staff and volunteers will be picking the dogs up the next morning.
Will the animal I am staying with be available for adoption?
The animals that participants will be staying with may be available for adoption. Some animals may have an adoption hold or may be flying to the mainland for a guaranteed adoption through our Wings of Aloha program. If you fall in love with your dog, MHS can look into placing an adoption hold for you.
If I win, how many people can spend the night at the hotel?
Each hotel has an occupancy limit per room. Winners must observe these rules and/or pay a surcharge for any additional person per hotel rules.
How do I donate to an individual's fundraising campaign?
If you do not have the individual’s link to their personal fundraising page, you can still donate to their fundraiser! Start by clicking the Donate button at the top from the Wags to Riches homepage. This will take you to the Donate page. From there, you will want to change the “Donation Recipient.” Type the person’s name you are looking for in the search box and click “select.”
Can I bring my own dog?
No. This is an opportunity for our homeless dogs to receive pampering at some of top rated resorts. It is also an opportunity for hotel guests to see the adoptable dog and inquire, ultimately leading to an adoption!
Who receives the donations raised through Wags to Riches?
Maui Humane Society receives all donations raised by participants. We put those donations towards the costs of running the shelter, including medical procedures for animals in need, food and kennel items, utilities like water and electricity, and other operational costs.
How far could my donation go?
The answer is: potentially very far! Below are examples of what each donation amount can cover for our animals.
How can I see how my fundraising is stacking up against other participants?
On your QGiv dashboard, there is a leaderboard that shows how you rank amongst other fundraisers. The more you raise, the higher your name will move up on the leaderboard.
How do I turn in donations made offline to my fundraiser?

Can I send an email directly from QGiv to my contact list?
Yes. On the “Share Event” tab from your Fundraising Dashboard (pictured below), you may share your personal fundraising page with your email contacts. You may either customize your own email or use one of the templates Maui Humane Society has provided for you.
