A Message From Our CEO

As you scan the pages of our website you will see how the Maui Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is working with our community to establish a more humane environment for all animals.  We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

We have a dedicated team of staff members and volunteers that provide a wide variety of services both to the animals in our care as well as to the entire Maui community.  Our innovative programs seek to keep healthy and treatable animals in their homes.  We follow “Best Practices” in order to provide exceptional care in veterinary medicine, shelter operations, community outreach, and most important of all: love.
