The fundraiser intends to celebrate the bravery of Maui’s first responders and resilience of pets, especially after the tragic Maui wildfires of August 8, 2023.
Maui’s firefighters and lifeguards have teamed up with the Maui Humane Society in MHS’s annual calendar contest fundraiser to support the island’s animals. The Maui Humane Society announced on Tuesday the launch of its highly anticipated 2025 MHS Calendar Contest, which will showcase heartwarming moments between Maui’s pets and firefighters. The calendar will feature owned pets alongside members of the Hawaii Fire Fighters Association and Hawaii Government Employees Association, and will benefit the pets of MHS.
The MHS Calendar is back, and better than ever! This year, we’re excited to announce a special collaboration with Hawaii Fire Fighter’s Association (HFFA). This calendar will pay tribute to the courageous firefighters and rescuers who bravely faced the devastating Lahaina wildfires on August 8, 2023.
