To start the month of October, you can help the humane society on Maui and Kauai clear their shelters by giving a forever home to pets in their care for a reduced fee. Maui Humane Society is participating in the nationwide Bissell Empty the Shelters event starting on October 1. Maui Humane Society will be waiving ALL ADOPTION FEES for all animals.
The BISSELL Pet Foundation is hosting its “Empty the Shelters” event and the Maui Humane Society will be participating. This summer adoption event will start Monday, July 11 through Sunday, July 31. All adoptions are by donation only.
From May 2-15, we are participating in Empty the Shelters again with BISSELL Pet Foundation, the nationwide adoption promotion to find homes for our animals! We are offering sponsored adoptions for all adult animals and critters and kittens are only $25! Adopt your new furry-family member by donation between 11am-4pm (not inclusive of county fees or licensing for dogs)!
May is National Pet Month and the Maui Humane Society is partnering with BISSELL Pet foundation to “Empty the Shelters” by hosting their largest national adoption event. “Every day we are faced with a high population of animals, but the adoption needs of the shelter rotate on a day to-day basis,” stated Katie Shannon, Director of Marketing & Communications. “Across the country, adult dogs and cats (6 months plus) linger in shelters, including our own. As we dive further into spring, an increase of kittens, guinea pigs and bunnies are approaching. Whether you’re looking for a companion to be active or relax with you, Paws to Adopt will give you the opportunity to find your perfect match!” Maui Humane has also brought back what would be their second annual “Wags to Riches” event on May 28. Their “Wags to Riches” event gives shelter pets a chance to go from the doghouse to the penthouse.
