Maui Humane Society has received substantial surrender increases in guinea pigs and rabbits, unlike anything they have seen before. The shelter has surpassed capacity and temporary habitats have been built to accommodate the unforeseen increase. Maui Humane Society is offering a free vaccination clinic to the public for rabbits on July 23rd from 9am-3pm at Maui Humane Society.

Maui Humane Society is teaming up with national nonprofit Petco Love and Skechers to focus on the fun in fostering pets, which is lifesaving and especially critical during the busy summer months. Fostering is free, and it can begin on the same day. Maui Humane Society is participating in the nationwide Foster Open House:
June 25, 11:30 a.m.: For those interested in fostering dogs, puppies or Wings of Aloha fosters. Wings of Aloha is a donation-funded program that takes shelter animals and flies them to the mainland United States for adoption.
June 26, 11:30 a.m.: For those interested in fostering cats, kittens or critters (bunnies and guinea pigs)
Have you ever thought about fostering but didn’t think it was for you? Maui Humane Society is hosting a Foster Open House at 11:30am on both June 25th and 26th to tell you all about how fostering saves lives! By offering your time, energy, love and home to an animal in need, you help prepare them for adoption into a permanent home, as well as creating valuable space in the shelter to accommodate other homeless animals. Fostering may be needed anywhere from a few days to a few months! Join us on June 25 and 26th and you could start your fostering journey that day!
Join our Community Outreach team for an Adoption Event at Lahaina Cannery Mall, thanks to Salt + Hair, on May 14 from 10AM-12PM! We will have staff members and volunteers ready to speak to you about MHS services, offerings and our adoptable dogs, 3 that will be joining that day!
