The grant will be distributed over a three year term with the intent to increase life saving efforts and expand resources beyond the shelter to reach at-risk pets throughout the island. Funding highlights include the purchase of a specialized truck and trailer to provide veterinary community outreach, hiring an additional veterinarian and support team, an expanded Foster department, an educational Humane Enforcement Resource Officer, expanded Wings of Aloha program to support inter-island transfers and further development of pet owner resources to help keep animals in their homes.
