Maui Humane Society is teaming up with national nonprofit Petco Love and Skechers to focus on the fun in fostering pets, which is lifesaving and especially critical during the busy summer months. Fostering is free, and it can begin on the same day. Maui Humane Society is participating in the nationwide Foster Open House:
June 25, 11:30 a.m.: For those interested in fostering dogs, puppies or Wings of Aloha fosters. Wings of Aloha is a donation-funded program that takes shelter animals and flies them to the mainland United States for adoption.
June 26, 11:30 a.m.: For those interested in fostering cats, kittens or critters (bunnies and guinea pigs)

Greater Good Charities’ Good Fix Program in Partnership with Maui Humane Society Offer Free-High-Quality High-Volume Spay/Neuter Clinics to Help Effectively and Humanely Control Pet Population
Maui Humane Society is partnering with Greater Good Charities’ Good Fix program to provide free spay/neuter clinics in Hāna from June 9 through June 12. Hāna community members can bring in their dogs, cats, or any free roaming cat to Hāna High & Elementary School Gymnasium for free same day surgery.
Garage Sale Benefitting MHS
Join us for a Garage Sale on Sunday, May 29th from 8am – 12pm at 99 Ala Apapa Pl, Pukalani, HI 96768. There will be furniture, art supplies, art books, original art pieces, and household goods. The proceeds will benefit Maui Humane Society and Maui Hospice.

Kitten Shower
Come one, come all! Maui Humane Society invites you to our in-person Kitten Shower! Join us on April 9 as we kick off Kitten Season with a Kitten Shower! From 11am-1pm you can meet kittens of all ages, watch live demonstrations, and participate in kitten games! Our Foster team will teach you how to age kittens and what it looks like when they’re sick. Meet our experienced foster families and if you’re feline good, you can sign up to become a foster parent! Hope to see you at the paw-ty!

The public is invited to the Maui Humane Society’s Annual Kitten Shower, Saturday, April 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is an in-person event, with a chance to meet kittens, watch live demos, and play games.

Hawai’i is being represented in the PUPPY BOWL! On February 13, Maui Humane Society’s shelter-born pup, Hoku, will be Hawaii’s shining star and tackling the competition during Puppy Bowl XVIII on Animal Planet.

Hawaii News Now: Meet Hoku … the first Hawaii pup in the Puppy Bowl
This year’s Puppy Bowl features a Hawaii pup for the first time! The Maui Humane Society recently released behind-the-scenes footage of Hoku’s journey from the Valley Isle to the Big Apple for the event. The video also features Hoku’s time on Maui before she got adopted by a family in Connecticut. Hoku was born at the Maui Humane Society in May 2021.
