On Monday, the Mobile Medical Education Unit was stationed along Kalama Park offering Maui’s houseless community mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing, and much more. Maui Humane Society: provided four clients with various services; distributed food, collars, leashes, harnesses, vaccinations, and microchips.
The Maui Police Department is taking the lead in providing services at a growing homeless camp. MPD’s Mobile Medical Educational Unit has been near “cut mountain” in West Maui since January.
