No appointments necessary! Join us on Sunday, November 14 for a sponsored adoption day by Subaru!
This week, Maui Humane Society is taking part in Clear the Shelters – a nationwide pet adoption event that helps find loving homes for animals in need. All this week, through Aug. 29, adoption fees for ALL ANIMALS are sponsored. Due to COVID-19, the organization is offering all services by appointment only.
Opihi came to MHS in such poor condition that staff will never forget first laying eyes on his emaciated and withered body. He was so weak and starved that he could not lift his head or stand up, so brutally neglected that it seemed as if he’d reached the point of no return.
Piccard and Janeway (formerly Frank and Erin Wilson) came to MHS as a part of a large scale seizure/impound case last October. At MHS, they received the medical attention and care they needed, but were still very scared and unsure of the world around them.
Let’s all wish Johnny Cash (formerly Destin) a happy 6th birthday! This sweet boy was adopted in Oregon after being transferred to an adoption guaranteed shelter through our Wings of Aloha Transfer Program and now helps foster other dogs looking for their furever home (when he isn’t too busy napping).
We’re not even kitten! All kittens (3 months and younger) are just $20 to adopt for a limited time only.
Now through the end of the month, adopt ANY adult dog for just $20 at Maui Humane Society!
11-year-old Reginald was one of the first dogs placed into foster care when the call went out. Reginald’s foster family brought him to the shelter to meet a couple who were interested in adopting him.
Longtime MHS volunteer Kathryn was one of the first people to answer the call to move shelter animals into emergency foster homes.
Keanu Reeves (now Reeves), spent two months waiting for a home on Maui before he was transferred to a rescue partner in Oregon and adopted into a loving home.
