Maui Humane Society is reducing adoption fees as it participates in the nationwide “Empty the Shelters” campaign starting today through July 31, the shelter announced. Maui Humane Society’s reduced adoption rates during the campaign will include $50 for adult dogs and kittens; $25 for small animals, including guinea pigs and rabbits; and $10 for adult cats.
From July 6 to July 31, BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Summer National “Empty the Shelters” will occur at more than 335 shelters in 44 states with pets available for adoption for just $50 or less, including Maui Humane Society.
Maui Humane Society will participate in BISSEL Pet Foundation’s national “Empty the Shelters” from July 6-31, 2023, offering reduced adoption rates, including $50 adult dogs and kittens, $25 small animals (incl. guinea pigs and rabbits), and $10 adult cats. The Maui Humane Society is also holding an “Empty the Shelters” adoption special from today through May 15. Adoptions will be free for dogs over 6 months old, cats, and small animals. Adoption fees for kittens will be reduced to $25. The event comes at a time when many shelter animals are desperately in need of temporary fosters or adoptions, according to MHS spokeswoman Katie Shannon, which recently issued another plea for “SOS fosters” to help take in dogs due to shelter overcapacity.
Poke is one of the dogs needing a home on Maui. Empty the Shelters is running from May 1-15th and all animals at Maui Humane Society have reduced or waived adoption fees!
