With hundreds of animals in their care, staff at the Maui Humane Society “desperately need” help with fosters to free up space at the shelter. Because of the limited space at the facility, some pets are staying in shelter offices. For those who cannot adopt, the shelter’s foster program is free, and they provide food, supplies, medication and veterinary care if needed.
