The Maui Humane Society is beefing up its security measures after one of its storage containers was burglarized, resulting in a total of about $2,000 in losses and damages. “For them to feel like they have to come in and take, as opposed to just scheduling an appointment, we’re happy to give it to them,” Maui Humane Society Chief of Operations Nikki Russell said.
