Maui Humane Society proudly holds the Maui County Animal Services contract for stray dogs on the island of Molokaʻi. Our team is dedicated to safeguarding the welfare of the island’s animals through compassionate care and the highest standards of humane treatment.

Molokaʻi Animal Services

Through our contract with Maui County, Maui Humane Society provides essential animal services on Molokaʻi, specifically for stray dogs.

Our services include:

  • Animal Control for Stray Dogs: Responding to reports of stray, sick, or injured dogs to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Humane Enforcement: Enforcing Maui County’s Title 6 animal ordinances to protect animals and the public, including investigating suspected animal cruelty, dangerous dogs, leash law violations, dog licensing violations, and other matters within our authority.
  • Temporary Animal Sheltering: Providing short-term care for stray dogs while we work to reunite them with their families. This service is specifically for stray dogs and is not a boarding facility. Dogs that are not reclaimed may be transferred to Maui Humane Society for continued care and rehoming.
Reports of lost, sick or injured dogs, as well as cases of suspected animal cruelty, can be shared with MHS’ Humane Enforcement Dispatch by calling 808-877-3680 ext. 222 or submitting an online report.
