Volunteer at Maui Humane Society

Our volunteers are absolutely vital to the success of Maui Humane Society. These dedicated animal lovers donated 16,000 hours of their time to working with homeless pets last year! Our volunteers make an incredible difference in our shelter, with our animals, and throughout the community, and we are honored to work alongside them.

We invite animal lovers who live on Maui to join our volunteer pack. Not a Maui resident, but still want to help our pets during your visit? Email [email protected] to learn more about how you can help!

Volunteers can help with a variety of tasks, such as cat care, dog walking, administrative assistance, veterinary assistance, emergency response, education, outreach events, maintenance and gardening, fundraising and more.

We believe instilling a sense of compassion and caring in our next generation is essential to the wellbeing of animals in our community. Volunteering as a team with your keiki is a great way to give back and lead by example.

Adult volunteers 18 and up who are a member of our Volunteer Team may bring their keiki ages 5-15 to volunteer alongside them. Keiki must have an adult present to volunteer.

Keiki and families can help with a variety of tasks, such as cat care and socialization, administrative assistance, education, outreach events, maintenance and gardening, fundraising, and more.
