MHS T-Shirt Competition

Summer is almost here (or if you live in Lahaina or Kihei, maybe the summer never ended), and it's time to add a new t-shirt to the Maui Humane Society collection! Maui is full of creative geniuses, and that’s why we’re opening it up to you. Open only to part-time and full-time residents of Hawai'i. ALL AGES and ALL LEVELS of experience are welcome to participate, so we encourage keiki and adults alike to enter.

All you have to do is create a design, either hand-drawn or digital, but it must be original. No copy cats (or dogs). Just fill out the form below and upload your creation. You can submit up to 3 designs for consideration.

A winner will be selected by Maui Humane Society and have their winning design printed on t-shirts that will made available in our official store. The competition starts at 12:00PM HST on Friday, May 14, 2021. Submissions close at 12:00PM HST on Friday, May 28, 2021. The winner will be announced on Monday, May 31, 2021.

Terms and Conditions*
Competition Details
1. The competition is titled “MHS T-Shirt Competition” and is hosted by Maui Humane Society [referred to as “the Promoter”], whose registered office is at 1350 Mehameha Loop, Puunene, HI 96784.

Eligibility
2. The competition is only open to full-time and part-time residents of Hawai’i.
3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
4. All entries must be the entrant’s own original artwork or designs. If a submission is found not to be original to the entrant, the entrant and any and all remaining entries will be disqualified with no exception.

Submissions
5. Route to entry for the competition is via the web page: https://www.mauihumanesociety.org/mhs-t-shirt-competition/
6. You must upload at least one (1) design, and can upload up to three (3) designs for consideration.

Date and Time
7. The start is 12:00PM HST on Friday, May 14, 2021. The deadline to submit is 12:00PM HST on Friday, May 28, 2021. After this time, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
8. No responsibility on the part of the Promoter will be accepted for entries not received by the submission deadline.

Cancellation
9. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

Winners
10. One (1) will be chosen by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter. The winner’s winning design will be printed on t-shirts to be sold by Maui Humane Society.
11. Winner will be notified via email by 12:00PM HST on Monday, May 31, 2021. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond with a current address for receipt of the prize within fourteen (14) days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner.
12. The Promoter will notify the winner about how the prize will be delivered.
13. The Promoter will judge the competition and decide on the winner, which will be picked from all complete entries via the MHS T-Shirt Competition web form.
14. The Promoter’s decision as to those able to take part and selection of the winner is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.

Prizes
15. The winner will receive a prize. The prize is as follows: One (1) t-shirt total with the winner’s own winning design on it. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

Miscellaneous
16. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
17. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
18. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
19. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by U.S. law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United States.
20. The winner agrees to the use of his/her names and images in any publicity material, as well as their entries. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current U.S. data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
21. By agreeing to the terms and conditions, entrants accept that if their design is chosen, they forfeit any and all intellectual property rights regarding creative and commercial use of their design by Maui Humane Society.
22. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other social network. You are providing your information to Maui Humane Society and not to any other party.
23. The Promoter shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage. Terms and conditions PDF can be found here:
