Maui Humane Society’s Calendar Contest is back—with an artistic new twist! 🎨This year, we’re partnering with Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center summer camps to transform your beloved pet into a one-of-a-kind work of art. Submit a photo of your pet, and a student artist ages 6–10 will draw a “paw-trait” inspired by your submission. Then, the community will vote for their favorites, and the top 12 vote-getters will be featured in the 2027 Maui Humane Society Calendar.
From sweet masterpieces to hilarious interpretations, every creation is a one-of-a-kind keepsake. Best of all, every entry helps support Maui’s animals and local arts programs.

Pet Picture Entry Details
Each photo entry is $50 and must contain only one pet. Multiple entries are welcome!
Photo entries are limited and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, so reserve yours before they fill up.
Pet Photo Requirements
- Only one pet in the photo.
- No humans in the photo, please!
- High-resolution, well-lit images work best! If your paw-trait is voted into the calendar, your pet’s picture will be featured alongside it.
- Show us their personality! Does your pet have a favorite hobby, toy, treat, napping position, or goofy face? Let’s see it!
- Don’t zoom in too close! Make sure to leave some empty space around your pet in the photo. We might need to crop or adjust the picture to make it fit our calendar format perfectly, and we don’t want to accidentally cut off any ears or tails!
