Bissell Pet Foundation is bringing hope to homeless pets across the country this holiday season with its “Empty the Shelters – Holiday Hope” event Dec. 6-20, 2021. Participating shelters across the country will reduce adoption fees to help pets find their adoptive families.

It’s been a whole year since Maui Humane Society made history by participating in what’s been called “the largest pet rescue flight on record,” Paws Across the Pacific.
Maui Humane Society is pleased to announce that they’re opening the doors to the shelter for adoptions 7 days a week. Additionally, appointments are no longer needed to view and adopt animals. Daily operating hours are 11am to 4pm. Due to the increased number of animals currently housed at the shelter, Humane Society officials are hoping that the extended hours and elimination of the appointment requirement will encourage more adoptions.
