Look here for your lost/missing pet!

These animals are NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION.They have either been found by a community member or arrived at the shelter as a stray animal. If your animal has been lost and someone has found them, this is the place to look for your pet.

Here are the first steps if you’ve lost your pet:
1) File a Lost Report* – It may take up to 24-48 hours to appear on the website
2) Walk around the neighborhood + speak to neighbors. Put out food/water/article of clothing.
3) Upload the pet’s photo to PetcoLoveLost.com
4) Post the same information on Craigslist and local lost/found pet Facebook groups or pages (such as Missing Pets of Maui, Lost Pets Maui, and more) and check your email regularly for responses.
5) Post lost signs in the neighborhood

*Lost/found pet reports must be renewed after 90 days to be visible on our website (excluding reports submitted as a result of the Lahaina fires, which have been extended to one year). Please renew your report by emailing [email protected] and be sure to include any new photos or information that may help identify a lost or found pet.

We do not place adoption holds on FOUND animals. Please visit our adoption page for a list of available pets for adoption.

Join MHS’ Found Lahaina Pets Facebook group, which shares pets in MHS’ care still searching for their Ohanas through our extensive Airtable database. If you believe your pet may be in the care of Maui Humane Society, please contact our Reunification Team at [email protected] as soon as possible to arrange a visit to our shelter and off-site locations.
