Old dogs have something to wag about this summer, as The Grey Muzzle Organization announces the recipients of its annual grants, and dogs at Maui Humane Society are among the winners.

The Maui News: Adoption fees lowered as part of ‘Empty the Shelters’ July campaign
Maui Humane Society is reducing adoption fees as it participates in the nationwide “Empty the Shelters” campaign starting today through July 31, the shelter announced. Maui Humane Society’s reduced adoption rates during the campaign will include $50 for adult dogs and kittens; $25 for small animals, including guinea pigs and rabbits; and $10 for adult cats.

If you’re looking for a buddy who can make you laugh and keep you active, consider Odie. Odie is a large mixed breed pup who is just over one year old and he brings 60 pounds of love with him. Odie knows basic commands and has been training at Dog’s Choice. His training will continue after his adoption as he has a GoodPup scholarship. That means he is sponsored for virtual one-on-one training so he can be the goodest boy possible.
