Why Your Support Matters
Every year, roughly 5,000 animals come through the doors of Maui Humane Society, each one relying on us for care, safety, and a second chance. Every winning bid helps provide medical care, daily nutrition, and enrichment, while also supporting vital community programs like lost-and-found services and low-cost veterinary care.
This auction is the primary fundraiser for our Visitor Industry Charity Walk Team, where a portion of every dollar raised is matched—so every winning bid goes even further for pets in need.

Who do I contact if I have trouble with the bidding platform?

Can I purchase an item immediately?
Yes! If you find an item you absolutely love and don’t want to risk losing, look for the “Buy It Now” option available on select listings. This allows you to secure the item instantly at a set price.
How do I receive my items if I win?
Physical Items: All physical items (such as art, collectibles, or gift baskets) are available for pick-up at Maui Humane Society only. Once the auction concludes and payment is processed, a member of our team will contact you to coordinate a convenient pick-up date and time.
Experiential Items/Certificates: For experiences like the Ritz-Carlton stay or luxury cruises, a gift certificate will be provided to you digitally via the email address associated with your bidding account.
Are there restrictions on the experiences?
Some experiential items have specific terms and conditions, such as blackout dates during peak travel seasons or expiration dates. We recommend reviewing the “Terms & Conditions” section on each individual item page before placing your bid.
Is my winning bid tax-deductible?
According to IRS regulations, winning auction bids are generally not considered tax-deductible donations because there was an exchange of goods or services for the payment. However, you can bid with confidence knowing that 100% of the proceeds go directly to benefiting the animals at Maui Humane Society.

You can make a direct donation through the Lei of Kindness right here on our auction page! These are symbolic gifts, such as food, vaccinations, or medical care, that fund our mission directly.
