Maui Humane Society seeks caretakers for community cats displaced during the Lahaina wildfire
The organization has more than 50 outdoor community fire cats in its care, and is seeking to find new homes for them through the Operation Fire Cat Placement Program.

Maui Humane Society will bring adoptable dogs to meet the Maui Community at our monthly Mobile Adoption Event at our local Petco Store in Kahului on Saturday April 20th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. We will also have guinea pigs available for adoption in the Critter Habitat just inside the store!

600+ animals at Maui shelter, including nearly 300 survivor cats from Lahaina fires
The Maui Humane Society has more than 600 animals in their care, including 145 in foster homes, and nearly 300 are cats that survived the Aug. 8, 2023 wildfire.
“We have zero kennels available, and we need your help,” organization leaders said in a newsletter update.
