In the spirit of compassion and unity, Maui Humane Society is thrilled to announce the Concert for Hope, a heartfelt fundraiser co-presented in partnership with Mana’o Radio, taking place at The Altitude Deck on Saturday, August 19. 100% of proceeds will support Maui Humane Society’s Hope Fund, which provides advanced life saving surgeries and procedures for Maui’s homeless animals.
Hope Fund Stories
Tommy Boy
Tommy Boy was attacked by a machete in a parking lot in Paia. His bone-deep lacerations were across his forehead, across his back, and the tip of his tail. If Tommy Boy didn’t receive the immediate help from first-responders, our Humane Enforcement Officers and our on-call emergency Veterinarians, Tommy Boy would have knocked on death’s door. Thanks to our dedicated staff and volunteers to help him heal over the past 2 months, Tommy Boy has made a full recovery. Donate to help offset the cost of Tommy Boy’s medical expenses and care.
Oscar the Cat Gets a Chance to Beat Cancer
Oscar the Cat came to us when his caretaker had to move and there was no one left to care for him. He had some growths on his nose that turned out to be cancerous – common with cats who spend a lot of time in the sun.
Plucky Para-Pup Strawberry Shortcake
Strawberry Shortcake came to Maui Humane Society after being found scooting around a cul-de-sac on her own without the use of her legs.
Second Chance Senior Dog Kali
Kali was wandering around the highway and was struck by a car. A Good Samaritan saw it all happen, stopped traffic, scooped her up and brought her to MHS for help. X-rays have revealed that her hip is badly dislocated, and because of age-related arthritis she will need surgery to reduce her pain and improve her quality of life.

Poor Darwin had been neglected for some time, but with the right treatment and a WHOLE lot of love, we were able to give him the second chance he deserves.
