Kali

Kali was wandering around the highway and was struck by a car. A Good Samaritan saw it all happen, stopped traffic, scooped her up and brought her to MHS for help. X-rays have revealed that her hip was badly dislocated, and because of age-related arthritis she needed surgery to reduce her pain and improve her quality of life.

Unfortunately, she’s not alone – hip injuries are common, particularly in animals who have been struck by cars. Fortunately, our 100% donor-funded Hope Fund helps us to go above and beyond for injured animals like Kali by covering their medical expenses.

After her surgery, Kali spent some time recovering in volunteer foster care before making an instant love connection with her fur-ever family. “She is a dream dog,” Janice writes. Almost 11 years old. Very loving, loves belly rubs. Thank you so much for everything you did for her. She is a center in our lives!”
