KITV4: Dogs and cats at MHS need your help-seeking temporary homes

October 21, 2021

Currently, they have 50 dogs at the shelter and 40 already in foster homes, a full Cat Ohana, and 215 kittens/cats currently in foster homes.

MAUI (KITV4) – The Maui Humane Society (MHS) is seeking the community’s assistance for temporary SOS foster homes for a number of dogs and cats.

Due to the high number of cats and dogs at the shelter, the Maui Humane Society is seeking temporary SOS foster homes for adult pets.

There is no training necessary, being an SOS foster is a service for anyone who can take a dog or a cat into their home for a minimum of three days or up to two weeks (preferably).

To meet the dogs and cats available for SOS fostering, make an appointment online at https://calendly.com/mhsadoptions.

MHS staff will assist you with finding the right pet for your home and provide basic supplies and food.

If you’ve been thinking about adopting or fostering, now is the time to open your home and heart to a homeless pet that needs you.

Pet of the Week

Pet of the Week

Aloha kakou! My name is Kilo and I am this week’s Pet of The Week at Maui Humane Society! Nothing makes my heart sing like a good tennis ball! I can be a little shy meeting new people, but I really enjoy the company of other dogs, and tennis balls! Did I mention how much I love tennis balls?
