Maui Humane Society named Alexis Pagoulatos as its new chief executive officer in a Sunday email blast welcoming her to the role.
According to the nonprofit, Pagoulatos brings more than a decade of executive leadership experience in animal welfare. Most recently, she served as executive director of the Humane Society of Utah, a $12 million organization that supports more than 10,000 animals annually with a staff of 120 employees.
Pagoulatos has led open-admission animal shelters with municipal animal control partnerships, veterinary programs and community-based services. She previously served as CEO of the Animal Rescue League of Berks County in Pennsylvania and executive director of Routt County Humane Society in Colorado.
